Royal Festival Hall

We were running late, just managed to put bums on seats in the nick of time!It wasnt easy to find once we got into the hall,we were running around up stairs down stairs! Mr Cannon looked happy to see us,which was nice.I thought it was ok,it was a very relaxed atmosphere, babies, toddlers, tweenies etc.I liked the man who did the voices for Peter Rabbit,he did a range of voices which were funny.I really wasnt keen on the peice which was supposed to represent animals,it all went a bit down hill from there.Keon said he was going to sleep,i started to look around the hall. The ending was nice as we had heard it,although everything was on a much lower level than i thought.Overall it was ok,im glad i went along,i would go again, maybe to listen to something else, something that has an adult focus.I think i will have a difficult time in persuading Keon to come along. The other thing i found interesting was this, both Nia and Keon, thought it was a complete waste of time, having the children conduct as they were not really conducting. As we had done the workshop, they felt that part was "FAKE".(maybe because they didnt get picked??)

Listening to the music in the school hall had more of an impact.....

Keons words

I didnt really enjoy it,the man acting could have been better. The bit at the end was ok.It wasnt really fair that they only picked children from the front. What i did enjoy was after the show,me,Niah and Amber Kitten went down stairs and played with the rubber seats, you could move them and jump on them that was fun.I had fun with Niah,we went with our mums to eat turkish pizza we laughed alot.

"I think what i have learnt the most about this project is.......wait for it....is SELF BELIEF. If an artist or anyone, writes, sings, dances or sculpts etc and believes they have done a good job, well thats all that matters....i have doubted myself in the past, lacked believing in myself and what i can achieve....”

"We have decided to take Ryan and Naombh somewhere at least once a month and have figured that with our children its best sometimes just to get on a bus or tube and just see what's going on ,sort of exposing them to the arts accidentally there is so much to see and do"
