Another brilliant evening! Thanks everyone for turning up on time.

I can't imagine anyone didn't enjoy the dance we were offered in Sampled. I keep changing my mind about which bits I liked and which I found hard work which is probably a good sign. One thing I thought was that it's very hard to slot a bit of classical ballet in amongst all the fast-moving and contemporary stuff and for that reason I didn't like the first ballet number (I think it was sleeping beauty) but whether I'd just warmed up to dance in general by the second one, I found I really enjoyed the Romeo and Juliet snippet much more.

The more I see of dance the cleverer I think it is as an art form. Some bits in the very first scene were really mesmerising, such as the entire group moving as one at the beginning and the bodies 'breathing' like frogs at the end. I wasn't too sure about the woman in the boots. I could see she was controlling everything but it was still a bit strange!

I was talking to Cheryl at the interval and she said you can often get £5 tickets for standing, or sitting at the sides for the shows. Well worth looking into.

I'm looking forward to the photography workshop with Madeleine this evening. I know it will be brilliant and will fire up people's excitement about taking pictures. Don't forget to bring along a digital camera if you have one and a photograph that you really like. We'll be working on the top floor on the 'blue' corridor.

See you there.

"Going to the dance was a fantastic experience. My grandmother who was very formal and austere used to take me to the ballet and i absolutely hated it"

"I think what i have learnt the most about this project is.......wait for it....is SELF BELIEF. If an artist or anyone, writes, sings, dances or sculpts etc and believes they have done a good job, well thats all that matters....i have doubted myself in the past, lacked believing in myself and what i can achieve....”

"We have decided to take Ryan and Naombh somewhere at least once a month and have figured that with our children its best sometimes just to get on a bus or tube and just see what's going on ,sort of exposing them to the arts accidentally there is so much to see and do"
