Arts Beyond the Classroom

A group blog for families to share experiences of culture in London.

from nile and alex | Feb 4, 2010 nile and alex

we loved the Hip Hop and the bit where someone went 'euwe' at the ballet dancers kissing and lots of people laughed and then we got told off by the usher.

Alex loved the variety of people old ,young, all ages all colours, shapes and sizes going to see dance on a Sunday Night. And the dance/theatre piece with the green leaves.

Nile loved the Hip Hop and the giggling with everyone.

we had an o.k time at the photography workshop but got lost in the dark on the way home.

Tonight we had lots of fun at home taking photos,we look forward to the trip to the Portrait Gallery on Saturday.

"I think what i have learnt the most about this project is.......wait for it....is SELF BELIEF. If an artist or anyone, writes, sings, dances or sculpts etc and believes they have done a good job, well thats all that matters....i have doubted myself in the past, lacked believing in myself and what i can achieve....”

"We have decided to take Ryan and Naombh somewhere at least once a month and have figured that with our children its best sometimes just to get on a bus or tube and just see what's going on ,sort of exposing them to the arts accidentally there is so much to see and do"
