We did a workshop with Madeline on using photoshop. It was good fun. I played with the CURVES tool and experimented with putting in and taking away different amouns of Red Green and Blue from my pictures.
I'm going to upload the pictures here so you can see how differnt the photographs look when you change the levels of these coloirs. In one of hte pictures, Alicia, we were able to make the wooded deck look much richer and more wood-like. In the original photo it was a bit too grey for me.
Photos coming!
Here is a new show we saw advertised - looks interesting. A photo agency just for women.
A new photographic display will celebrate the work of Format Photography Agency, the only solely female agency in British photographic history. The seventeen portraits on display will reflect the scope and achievement of this agency and this will be the first display devoted to Format at the National Portrait Gallery. Format was established in1983 by eight founding members: Anita Corbin, Sheila Gray, Pam Isherwood, Jenny Mathews, Maggie Murray, Joanne O'Brien, Raissa Page and Val Wilmer. During its history the agency represented twenty leading women photographers. Portraits by photographers Melanie Friend, Roshini Kempadoo, Joanne O'Brien, Brenda Prince and some of the founders will be included in this display.
