LOVE the new look...thank you Nic and Eelyn. Its been a mad term and we haven't been in touch or blogged for ages. Sorry, Sorry, Sorry!
The photography exhibtion will be at Sutton House and we can all go together on Friday 16th July from 12 - 1; but you can go when you like as well. Should be really exciting to see all the wonderful things you have photographed.

I've been really busy seeing things at the theatre. A LOT of opera! And I'm now starting to enjoy it! Well, I'm not nodding off so quickly!
Also saw London Assurance at the National. Brilliant! Very Very funny! I'm reallyhoping to continue making strong links with the National over the coming year. Watch this Space!

Pupils and parents of Jubilee and Lauriston Primary Schools explored London's cultural delights, and used this website to write about their experience, and share photographs of the city and their life.

Why why why have I never been to watch a Shakespeare play??..  Isn't it a wonderful thing to learn new things about our old English language even at my ripe old age !!!  Well I'm sure  this is the start of something new so thank you ABC.

Hello Everyone!

Sorry not to have been in touch recently but I've been waiting to hear from Portico about our next workshop dates and so far I haven't had a reply.
However, Madeleine would like to run two separate workshops (one for each school as it makes it easier for her to support everyone if they are in smaller groups) and we are aiming for Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th June from 4 til 6 (or thereabouts). If it suits everyone we would do Lauriston on Monday and Jubilee on Tuesday. Of course, if you are unable to make it on your school's allocated day you could always attend the other one, that's not a problem.

Hope everyone had a great break in the lovely weather and managed to snap a few crackers in the process.

I'll let you know the definite dates of workshops as soon as I have confirmation.

Hello everyone,  sorry for the long delay between workshops we have been waiting for Portico (the place with the apple macs) to re-open.    We are hoping to run the last of the digital photography workshops on 14th and 15th June (Dates to be confirmed) .   During the next workshop I will be collecting everyone's pictures so we can organise an exhibition of your amazing work and hopefully a book as well.     I hope you have been out taking lots of pictures and thinking about your chosen subjects and projects......  If not you have  a few weeks left to get out with your cameras and take some more lovely photographs  remembering the title "Portraits within the Landscape"  this can be anything, friends family or just a nice picture you see when you're out in the park or on your way to school.    If you are having trouble with the batteries Peter has some spares.   You need to use proper electronic/photo batteries with the cameras as normal batteries will run out almost immediately.  Look forward to seeing you all with loads of pictures in the next few weeks.    Madeleine

Hi all just struggled back from Egypt - an amazing journey up the Nile:  extraordinary temples, beautiful scenery, incredible history. I took some good photos - random temple pillars and faces of Egyptian guards (with a telephoto - so they didn't know they were being snapped!).
Saw a play on Friday at the National (Women Beware Women - wonderful staging!) and a BRILLIANT piece of acrobatic circus at the Roundhouse on Saturday. The Roundhouse are doing lots of circus stuff at the moment - check it out. Some VERY good stuff

THE QUILTING WORKSHOP is on Tuesday 4th May at 4.15. at Jubilee...more details to follow.

Get well soon Peter!

Is anybody back in the coury and can anybody help?!

I've just realised that a lot of you are probably sunning yourselves under that unpronounceable ash cloud, but am I right in thinking the quilting workshop is on 29th April at Jubilee School? I think I am but would appreciate confirmation.

I hope you've all had a wonderful Easter. Mine was mixed, first half behaving like a 10 year old mountain biking on The South Downs, the second spent recovering from an operation (the two were not related). This, coupled with my daughter having my camera in Argentina means I've been rubbish with photos. I do hope everyone else is getting together a good collection for our forthcoming exhibition.

I think I'm too much of a coward to be a good photographer anyway. I daren't get close enough to get the really powerful images that some of you seem to manage. There were so many opportunities for great shots when I went into The Homerton but it would have been terribly intrusive and my mind was rather on other things. It did make me think a lot though about how clever good photography is.
I can't remember if I blogged following the V&A trip but I loved it and saw such potential in these kind of visits whether they form part of ABC or not. It's so valuable just having some shared experiences. Our quilting workshop with Jenny is on 29th I think and we'll all need our bits of cloth to add to the main piece (am I right in thinking it has to be 14cm square?).
Lokking forward to seeing you all very soon and getting on with the next stage of the project.

Most people talk about how other people behave, they can't also see the way they behave. They act as if they aren't naughty but when it is time for work it is CHAOS! They turn really naughty after a break and mostly get into big trouble.

The more naughty you are the more trouble you will get in, like if you kick someone you will get into trouble. When you are in the class sometimes you don't feel so good so that's when you will act all quiet, but when you feel so enthusiastic you just can't wait you get to over exited and then your in trouble.

The reason that this happens is because people don't care about other people because all they want is to get away and be free with there friends, but when they are playing and having fun they are happy, but when they are in trouble they are sad and angry.

Some feelings get hurt when they are embarrased if maybe there on the sad face or asked to stand up in front of everyone. Some might not feel embarrased because they normally have to do it round about every day so there use to it most of the time, so they don't really feel that embarrased.

If you want to stop being naughty just read the instructi0ns below:

1. Ask other good friends how they are good so they can give you some advice.

2.Go to a teacher for advice.

3.Have a chart of how good you are and let your teacher fill it in.

4.When your angry calm down by counting to ten 5 times.(quickly if your going in class!)

5.Try and go to a strict club to teach you how to be good and not naughty, like the army.(Don't really go there, because i don't want to get into trouble!)

IF YOU'VE BEEN NAUGHTY I'D ADVISE YOU TO STOP!, AND READ MY 5 RULES TO STOP BEING NAUGHTY AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT YOU WILL BE AS GOOD AS A SCIENTIST!
